davekillcountysmith I like southern rock. I like alt country. I love this deliciously dirty short album that gives us the best of both worlds. Favorite track: Texas Sky.

Bucky Sounds like traditional outlaw country straight out of Texas with enough Alternative to fit in in Los Angeles. Souther Fashion fits like a totally accessible Hank III blended with the southern twang of new era Kid Rock.

touching down places i've outgrown tasting that misery i used to wear like clothes some still do, my old friends they're all ghost now i suppose now i was on a fault line jumping over land mines but it was my home gave up that regional dialect and that southern fashion i took that culture across the state line and sent it back in a casket but here's what's left of my old heart on the river bank all waterlogged we were just some young trash trying to make a buck fast but i'm moving on i'm moving on there's a place that still exist they've got that small town secret that nobody's keeping well i guess some do all my old friends they're all ghost now i suppose now i used to run through good nights the way some run through red lights but we're moving on we're moving on

well i woke up in a parking lot for the second time this week but you know i'm feeling blessed them troupers didn't catch me i've been running hard this way for 7 lucky years and i know you wanna change me i can see that in your tears i can see that in your tears i'm out of luck and into trouble full of nothing but liquor and guilt can't promise much but disappointment 'cause a ramblin' man like me don't ever quit every good girl wants a bad man to show her a good time but you bit off more than you could chew when our lives intertwined you say you're always worried you say i never call hey i'm doing all i can but i guess that ain't enough i guess that ain't enough i'm heading southbound toward kentucky with a bottle of grand marnier in my passenger side and i'm dialing up your number just hoping you'll have a way to get me high i'm out of luck and into trouble full of nothing but liquor and guilt can't promise much but disappointment 'cause a ramblin' man like me don't ever quit i said i'm out of luck and into trouble full of nothing but liquor and guilt can't promise much but disappointment 'cause a ramblin' man like me don't ever quit

forget the country and the big town you can keep that time share and the lake house too these old apartments and fancy condos either way i ain't got no use 'cause it's been too long time to move on heading southbound towards somewhere new yeah my whole life long i never quite belonged they've got me all wrong and you do too 'cause there ain't no place for me nowhere i'd rather be yeah there ain't no place for me but that open road i been uptown and i've been beat down yeah i've been ran out of a place or two and i feel rundown when i'm back in this shit town but that's the beauty of just passing through we got a road show hello chicago i got a brother out there and he's got it back too and all them casinos dive bars and strip shows that i'll never outgrown i'm long overdue cause there aint no place for me nowhere i'd rather be yeah there ain't no place for me but that open road
5.
just admit it and i'll say it's alright if you're only feeling lonely tonight 'cause if you're showing up like this at my door i want to know just what you're doing it for southtown siren you say you want to see me again but the last time we met you got me kicked right out of the motor inn we used to talk about someday getting out we used to talk about how it's not working out but you're forgetting all the hard times it seems hey baby you might be as crazy as me southtown siren you say you want to see me again but you ran so fast last year and i tell ya not a damn thing's changed since guitar southtown siren you say you want to see me again but the last time we met you got me kicked right out of the motor inn i said s-southtown lover you say you want to see me again but ya ran so fast last year and i tell ya not a damn thing's changed since

if the world doesn't owe you anything then maybe I do maybe I do maybe i do but you know what they say about ignorance i only want you to live a life of bliss that's true i just want you to be happy if knowledge is power and power corrupts then the more that you know the more we're all fucked if it looks a little greener on the other side well who's side are you on just come back to mine theres one hundered reasons to run for the hills but they're so hard to climb may as well just stay still that's what I'll do I'll be right where you left me hun i couldn't cross you even if I tried i guess that makes you my parallel line ain't that the truth just want to see you smiling your dreams will precede the ghost you gave up you threw in the towel before you dried off you took one leap of faith and broke both legs but the time it will mend you we just have to wait if the world doesn't owe me anything then either do you either do you and acting natural is one difficult pose when all my true colors are all overexposed ain't that the truth but at least you got me smiling and if i die before i wake then i was dead wrong when i said it's never too late it looked a little greener on the other side i should have jumped that fence i guess you were right
7.
well i was drunk when I told you I loved you i didn’t lie i just thought you should know you thought i’d meet you at that airport bound for nashville but I never did show and it was true when i said i need you don’t believe me you don’t know me at all and i know I told you by the ocean but that breeze blew your mind out to sea i will probably regret every last word that I said except goodbye now you’re living 'cross the country you got a man and he treats you right i know i'll never be quite what you needed but i’m pretty goddamn sure the thought of me keeps you up at night and i know I told you by the ocean but that wind blew your mind out to sea and i will probably regret every last word that I said except goodbye allright
8.
on any other day i might have walked on by but i'm in rare form and you caught my eye i know what your friends think and they're probably right i'm good for nothing but i'm yours tonight you just ain't my kind but i'm sayin that's all-right you just ain't my kind but that don't mean this don't feel right you just ain't my kind but we can have fun for tonight
9.
Love Stories 03:11
there was a film about a woman who loved a man you fell for every word they said your loves in beliefs that this life can exist but all you got was me and I used every word they said you waited for the chance of a lifetime you've gone and wasted that chance on me things didn't turn out how you thought they would you're a fool to be led and you've given yourself to the love stories music plays every single time they touch and you hold on to every note you fell further in love was it them? was it him? was it me? did I have any chance at all? 'cause I used every word they said you waited for the chance of a lifetime you've gone and wasted that chance on me things didn't turn out how you thought they would you're a fool to be led and you've given yourself to the love stories
